Dar Zaman Team
Hassan is our guest manager and has worked at Dar Zaman since 2008. He comes from a Berber family, originally from Ouarzazate, three hours south of Marrakech. He’s one of nine children! Hassan is sweet, kind and always cheerful, a delight to have around and he takes your comfort and well-being very seriously. Hassan speaks four languages – Berber, Arabic, French and English.
Karima is our housekeeper and chef and has worked at Dar Zaman since 2012. She comes from Marrakech, and is a mother of two school-age children. Karima makes the most delicious Moroccan dishes, the secrets to which she will happily share with you in our cooking classes.
Simo is our night watchman. He’s from Marrakech and has worked at Dar Zaman since 2011. His family own a green grocers shop in the Kasbah quarter of the medina, so there is always lots of fresh fruit available at the riad! Simo speaks English and French.
And then there is me, Peter. I own and manage Riad Dar Zaman so there is a very good chance we’ll meet in Marrakech. I’ve lived in Marrakech since 2007 and until now am still under the spell of the blue sky, sunshine, delicious food and medieval charm of this magical city. We will do our best to make sure you get the most out of your stay in Marrakech with lots of insider tips and information on what to see and where to go.
