Kafé Fnaque Berbere
The bookshop Fnaque Berbere existed for many years and was a Marrakech institution, selling books from around the world in a strategic corner of the Marrakech medina. In 2012 Fnaque Berber underwent a major renovation and Kafé Fnaque Berbere was born. Facing Rue Mouassine on the corner of Rue Ksour, just north of Jemaa el Fna, the downstairs is still Fnaque Berbere the bookshop where they offer a fantastic assortment of books on Morocco and Moroccan interiors.
Mounting the staircase to the left of the bookshop, you pass through the kitchen on the way up to the café dining room. It’s small and cosy, decorated with bright colours and furnished with simple wooden tables and comfortable cushions. There’s a large selection of books, mostly in French, and perhaps the biggest plus, free wi-fi.
Kafé Fnaque offers a comprehensive menu of traditional Moroccan salads, paninis, sandwiches, tagines and a smattering of French dishes.
