Marrakech City Tour Tourist Bus
The Tourist Bus, or Bus Touristique, in Marrakech provides a unique way to tour the city and visit some of the sites. Unfortunately it is no longer in service – information on this page is for historical reference only. Tickets are valid for 24 or 48 hours and you can hop on and off all day long. The tour is accompanied by a pre-recorded commentary available in eight languages:
There are two different tours available – the Oasis Tour starts at the Tourist Information office in Gueliz and heads out to the Palmeraie, a palm tree filled desert-like area full of fancy resorts and private villas where you can hop off to ride a camel before heading back via the Majorelle Garden. The tour takes 1 hour and departs every hour from 13h00 – 17h00.
The Historic Tour covers a continuous circuit that passes through Gueliz and the Hivernage before entering the medina and passing close to several historic sites. The complete circuit takes 1 hour 10 minutes and departs every 20-30 minutes from 09h00 – 19h00. (The Historic Tour is also available in the evening from 19h00 – 23h00, a Marrakech by Night version).
The big advantage of the daytime Historic Tour is that you can hop on and off as many times as you want as you make your way from site to site. You’ll be given a map of the route when you board so you’ll know where you can re-join the bus.
